Finally went to the track

Just read the bottom for my stock track time.

I ran that with no filter on my stock intake pipe no interior (well accept for the dash and driver seat) and 14" honda civic steel wheels...

Damn, you guys are harsch! Keep in mind that he has a sedan (ie, 4 door) not a coupe. This makes his car nearly 200lbs heavier than a coupe, perhaps more with leather. He also got only four runs in, his first four EVER. Give the guy a break and some credit, those are pretty decent runs for his first attempts.

Those times seem fast for a GSR. Don't forget that the 14" wheels give shorter gear ratio's which are better for acceleration. You mentioned no air filter or interior. Plus 65 degree's is a huge advantage. Run those time's in 90-100 degree weather. Did you flat shift at the track or did you let off the gas when you shifted?

It was 90 degrees that day and I got a bad burn on my back but anyways I let off the gas every time I race including the 14.9 run.

Nope, that was at Dragway 42. That was actually the first day the track was open, and actually the first day ANY track was open in Ohio.

Is Quaker 1/4 mile?

Yup, 1/4 mile but slippery as hell...although, my times are decent in the right lane. Every friday is test and tune for $10.00.

yeah, dragway 42 seemed to be pretty slippery too... it was my first time ever drag-racing... actually my first time even at a dragway... BUT, the track seemed pretty crappy... but who knows
